Comment: = I dont know if you can help , I have a pair of oil painting s signed W H earp they are of scens i think in scotland if you now where i can find any inf on them could you please let me know thanks >>Peter

Comment = At last I have the pictures promised, one is signed the one of the sea scene but cant find a signature on the other, maybe it is under the frame. Maybe you have seen some paintings that may be similar to the boat painting. Looks like it might be on a river on an inlet. From Sue

Comments = Some 70 years ago my father purchased two seascapes painted by Inson Earp. My mother has recently given me the paintings-One showing Ketches and barrels rolling into shore on a choppy sea..possibly the Norfolk coastline. The other painting is of a similar scene but with more ships ect.. From Stuart

Comments=Looking for a W.A.Earp he painted a picture titled "The Estuary" about Thames Barges,The painting is we think about 100yrs old.The painting was purchased in East Anglia by the parents of a searcher.

Comment: = I have a watercolour signed by Earp with the name Inson on the back. Is this Inson Earp, son of George Earp? Do you have any biographical information on him? Thanks. J.F.

Comment: = Hi there! I have recently acquired an Edwin Earp watercolour piece and I am attempting to find some information on him. I was brought to your website where you are looking for some info on him also. It looks like you're related to him. Have you found anything out yet? All I can find is that he was registered in the 1881 census of Brighton, Sussex. It seems like a successful artist like Edwin would have a website or something devoted to him, but I can't find it. All I have found other than the census is a few auctions that had some of his artwork, which seems to range in the 400-600 pounds range (sorry, I live in the US and I don't have the symbol for pound on my keyboard). Anyways, it would be great if you could email me back. Good luck on your search for you family history!! From Cathy

Thanks Sammy.
