One Man, Two Brother’s and a Friend

In a back street yard in a small town it took just 30 seconds for a legend to start.... The back street yard was the O.K. Corral....The small town is Tombstone..
The Legend Wyatt Earp

Wyatt’s ancestors believed to be from around Staffordshire
John Earp of Staffordshire (or even Derbyshire) moved to Ireland and some members of the family went on to America.
Most versions of Wyatt's ancestors include a Thomas Earp Snr. & Jnr.

One Thomas Erp Snr. who died in Melbourne, Derbyshire in 1719 and his son Thomas Erp Jnr. who also died in Melbourne in 1737. Born we know not where, but they are the first Earp's mentioned in the Melbourne Parish Records and are mention in the 1695 Census of Melbourne both were Farmers

Staffordshire Earp's

Sarah Lucy Earp born 1879 in Darlaston, Walsall, Staffordshire. she is supposed to be related to Wyatt Earp but we can not see the link. She married Daniel Nash March 1902 in Walsall, Staffordshire., fathers name on her marriage certificate is Abraham Earp
We think her parents where Abraham Earp born 1850 Wednesbury, Staffordshire and Sarah Harvey born Walsall.
Her grandfather was James Earp born 1823 in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire. Sarah Lucy's great-grandfather was Abraham Earp born 1779 in Walton on Trent, South Derbyshire.

   Derbyshire Earp’s
In Joan Clegg’s Book titled “The village where I was born” about Findern in Derbyshire.
mention’s that a John and Robert Earp where benefactors of the village and a part of the Earp Family went to Melbourne, Derbyshire on to Ireland and then to America..

There is also a report in the “Derbyshire Evening News” years ago that school children from around Melbourne traced one child to be related to Wyatt’s ancestors
Do’s anybody know the line of Wyatt's ancestor’s from England to Ireland
