SHOT AT DAWN

Arthur Groves Earp private 2676 of the Warwickshire Regiment was one of the 306 British soldiers executed by firing squad at dawn on the 27th. July 1916 in the First World War.
His crime was for quitting his post

In 2006 the British Goverment granted posthumous conditional pardons to all soldiers executed in the First World War

Arthur is buried in BOUZINCOURT COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, Somme, France.
